To recognize the achievements of African Americans in the community that are not only speaking of change but are making a positive impact within the community.

Honors Events was started in 2011 and was founded by A Jay Pullen. Mr. Pullen’s vision was to create a setting where youth from his mentoring program could meet successful and prominent African Americans. Honors Events has brought families and communities together. All fundraised money has gone to help youth with food, clothing, school supplies, and other resources. Honors Events host up to 320 annually.
